Training will take place in inpatient and outpatient clinical settings, both in-person and virtual, as well as in relevant simulated settings., The CSC will work closely with the chairs of Biomedical Science and Health Systems Science to ensure the integrated curriculum teaches on a continuum of settings. In these contexts, the patient will be the primary focus, and learning about the scientific foundations of disease, as well as biological, social, environmental, and other factors that influence the development and course of illness will be anchored in the clinical presentation. The CSC will have a distinguished record of achievement commensurate with that of a department chair at the equivalent of associate professor level or higher, with significant expertise in one or more areas of clinical science, and regional/national recognition in their field(s) of study or practice. The CSC will generally have achievements in teaching, mentorship, administration, and leadership, and will have strong interpersonal skills.
